Ethical Decision Making Models

Compasses to Navigate Play Therapy Practice

Presented by Joy Cannon, MA, LPC-S, RPT-S™, NCC
November 7, 2025

Play therapists need practical tools and guidance to navigate ethical challenges. Through small group work, lecture, and (yes) play, participants will reexamine relevant standards (the 2014 ACA Code of Ethics and the Association for Play Therapy’s Best Practice Guidelines) along with evidence-based decision making models to better respond to dilemmas in play therapy. We’ll finish with an Ethics Jeopardy Game!
