Healthy Boundaries Series
Presented by Ashley Hembrock MS, LPC-Associate, Supervised by Maribel Faucett LPC-S
Boundaries aren't just about what is and isn't in our control. Every relationship needs them! Setting boundaries allows us to show up for ourselves with respect in ways that protect our mental wellbeing, and learning to respect other people's boundaries enhances our interpersonal connections and relationships.
Our three-part series of self-guided workshops introduces healthy boundaries as well as diving deep into each type of boundary.
Each lesson covers different types of boundary where you will be able to define the boundary, understand the importance of each type of boundary, and learn how to set healthy boundaries.
Throughout the workshops, examples of boundaries as well as boundary violations are given to help you explore where boundaries may come up in life. There will also be moments to pause and reflect upon what you have learned as well as self-affirmations to help you apply these lessons to your life.
In the introduction to boundaries, cultural considerations are also brought up about how dominate culture views boundary setting differently than those in collectivist cultures and asks the participants to consider questions regarding boundaries and their culture.
